2010 8th Grade Varsity Football!
#56!
They got to play on EWU's new turf! "The Inferno"!
It was spectacular! We played against Pullman, a worthy opponent...
And ... we slaughtered them!
Final score: 48 us, 8 them!
Do you see him?
Do you see him, now?
My Daddy!

What a handsome man!
When my mom sent me this picture, I almost cried! It captures his warm, generous nature, and distinguished demeanor.
My dad is one of the main reasons I believe in my power to change my world. I do not feel victim to my circumstances, because, through his example, he taught me that I can change them!
Thank you, Dad! I love you!

Cross-country!!!
So, as you may already know, Dauzha (online code-name for our daughter) loves soccer. LOVES it. When school started this fall, we encouraged her to join cross-country to increase her strength and endurance, thus improving her soccer. She was excited about it ... for about one practice. Then she HATED it!
We are strong believers in upholding commitments, so we did not let her quit. We bought her some nice running shoes, and supported her in every way we could. She continued to hate it for about two more weeks ... then she realized she was getting stronger and faster! She began to LOVE running! She is a running MACHINE! She participated in SEVEN meets, running the 1.5 mile race. (That's right, a mile and a half without stopping - something I still can't wrap my mind around!) Her average time is eleven minutes!
She is part of an incredible cross-country team of NINETY classmates! When the two Cheney busses arrive at events, the other athletes all gawk in amazement as a sea of green uniforms enter the field! NINETY is a lot of students for our little podunk town! In fact, ninety is a lot for any school in the area! Some of her meets were 70 miles away!
We are SO PROUD of her!

This was the only cross-country track meet I could attend. She was so excited to see me!
I am so lucky I caught it on video!
Look at all that green!
There she is!
This is her pin :)

I am loved!
I am the luckiest mom on the planet :) This is my "letter" in the alphabet project at school (by Dauzha).
"W is my awesome mom because she is related to me! She’s so sweet and loving and I love her. She loves dark chocolate so much she could eat dark chocolate all day."
The assignment was to select random things beginning with each letter in the alphabet, then write 25 words about it.

School Photo
Man, what a handsome devil! He's in 8th grade now, top of the middle school. He started football this fall and LOVES it! He even made the varsity team :D He comes home with sore muscles everyday after practice. I love that he's enjoying it and really applying himself.
Dazha also had photos taken, but she wants to do the re-take. I think she looks lovely, but she feels she could have a better photo.
